Live audio mix and master of Disco Hue's EP launch performance! Had a blast mixing this, the band was mic-ed up by an external party (am not sure who). The drum sound on this was interestingly almost entirely the actual acoustic takes, except for the kick which was blended with a sampled due to the tracks being messed up in the recordings itself later in the set (some weird DC offset thing happening).
It was quite a challenge to fight the heavy amounts of bleed on the lead vocal mic (she was standing right in front of the drums), especially so on the "1973" song. Lots of crazy automation to keep the cymbal bleeds out.
Definitely one of my favorite mixes this year!
